The staff at the NY Academy of Medicine graciously opened their doors to the interns two times over the past few months.
They provided an excellent tour and showed us how much they have to offer the public!
First, Arlene gave us a brief history of the Academy and its building. She then guided us to the conservation lab, where we learned how the conservators repair books. See below for a photo:

Our final destination was the library, where Miriam told us the history of the book and showed us a small part of the Academy's amazing collection.


A huge thank you to Arlene, Miriam and the rest of the staff at the NY Academy of Medicine. The trips were wonderful!
